The 68RFE Low/Reverse Sprag Update is designed to replace the original, failure-prone O.E.M. low/reverse sprag with a more robust and durable roller clutch. This update is ideal for high-performance and towing applications. The low/reverse clutch engages when the output shaft speed is below 150 RPM and releases back onto the low/reverse sprag during hard acceleration or burnouts once the driveshaft speed exceeds 150 RPM. Unlike the O.E.M. sprag, which is susceptible to failure under such stresses, this updated design ensures reliable performance and prevents the loss of 1st and 2nd gear starts.
